Liverpool midfielder Cameron Brannagan is set to join Wigan Athletic on-loan.

The Sun says newly-promoted Championship side Wigan could secure a deal for Brannagan in time to face Bristol City tomorrow (3pm).

But it is claimed the Latics will have to pay a penalty if Brannagan does not play enough matches.

The England Under-20 midfielder admitted he is open to dropping down a league on loan to benefit his career.
