Liverpool management have morale concerns over Thiago arrival

Liverpool management have concerns over dressing room harmony being disrupted by Thiago Alcantara's arrival.

The Independent says Liverpool are unsure whether to pursue a move for Thiago - with concerns over dressing room morale if they signed the Spaniard.

Alcantara has been heavily linked with an Anfield move as he seeks a fresh challenge away from Bayern Munich with just one year left on his contract.

The Reds are “significantly interested" in the prospect of signing a player of his ability and experience for a relatively low fee.

But they are worried that adding another midfielder will cause disharmony in the dressing room in an area they are already crowded with talent and options.

Jurgen Klopp currently rotates several midfielders with Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum and Fabinho establishing themselves as the first-choice trio last season.

And there are concerns that adding Alcantara would tip the balance and make it impossible to keep all their midfielders happy.
