Liverpool have secured additional ticket allocation for the UEFA Super Cup against Chelsea.

The match will take place in Istanbul on August 14.

The Reds were initially allotted just 5,257 for the clash against their Premier League rivals.

A surge in ticket sales for the event spurred Liverpool into applying for more tickets from UEFA.

They have now been given a "small" supplementary allocation, according to the Evening Standard.
