Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler has expressed his delight upon one of his academy graduates earning a move to Ipswich Town.
Declan Daniels' hopes of becoming a professional footballer looked all but over a year ago after he was released by Tranmere Rovers but the striker managed to revive his career by joining the based Fowler Education and Football Academy (FEFA).
Having impressed at FEFA, Daniels has now been able to earn a scholarship with Championship outfit Ipswich and the youngster's exploits have understandably left Kop hero Fowler a very happy man.
The Liverpool legend told the Liverpool Echo: "I'm delighted for Declan.
"He impressed us all with his attitude, first and foremost. He put in a lot of hard work so all credit to him and also to our staff, who have created a professional environment in education and football.
"We pride ourselves on creating positive futures for our students and this is a fantastic outcome for Declan and his family."
