Liverpool are now believed to be favourites in the race to sign Hoffenheim's Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino.

At this stage, Hoffenheim are yet to agree to a deal for the 23-year-old, who is also reportedly being courted by Manchester City and Manchester United.

However, Brazilian publication Globo Esporte is reporting that talks are moving quickly with the Reds and an £18million transfer fee would be enough to seal a move to Anfield.

It is believed that Liverpool has offered Firmino a five-year deal, which could be signed-off on once he returns from the Copa America in Chile, where he is currently on duty with the Brazilian national team.
