Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli appears set to return to AC Milan on a season-long loan.

The Serie A club confirmed they are in talks with the Merseyside outfit about bringing Balotelli back to the San Siro.

The Daily Express is reporting Milan want the Reds to cover half of Balotelli's £80,000-a-week wage.

"There are negotiations with Liverpool for a loan, but we have not reached an agreement on wages," Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani said.

"We want Balo because we are convinced this lad realises that this is absolutely his last chance."
