Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has ruled out a return to Eredivise.
While pledging his loyalty to former club Willem II, Van Dijk says he will never play in Holland again.
"No. Never at all," the Liverpool defender made things clear. “No, that is not going to be for me. The Eredivisie will not see me again."
He also told Viaplay: “Of course I was in the youth academy at Willem II for ten years.
“My dream was always to join Willem II in the first team. In the end it turned out that I went to FC Groningen, and then normal progression was to go to a top club in the Netherlands.
“Willem II is my club. I played there for ten years, and had a really great time. I am really thankful for that."
