Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk is backing their swoop for Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara.
The Mirror says reports on Thursday morning claimed that Bayern have accepted a £27m bid from Liverpool for the player, and he looks set to put pen to paper on a switch to Anfield in the coming days.
The move has been met with excitement by supporters of the club, and it seems Jurgen Klopp's players are just as impressed by the bit of business.
Shortly after the news broke of Liverpool's bid being accepted, Van Dijk 'liked' a tweet by Times journalist Paul Joyce making reference to it, and he is clearly looking forward to having a player of Thiago's quality joining up with the squad.
The 29-year-old will be Liverpool's second signing of the summer following the arrival of Greek left-back Konstantinos Tsimikas last month.
