Liverpool have reportedly joined the race for Hoffenheim star Roberto Firmino.

Globoesporte reports that the Reds have entered the summer chase for the Brazilian midfielder who has been heavily linked with Manchester United in recent weeks.

Firmino, 23, is almost certain to join a Premier League club this summer after his agent Roger Wittmann confirmed to Bild that his client 'will go to England' and it is believed that Anfield or Old Trafford are the most likely destinations.

Manchester City are also showing interest in Firmino who has scored 49 times in 153 appearances for Hoffenheim for whom he is contracted with until the summer of 2017.
