Liverpool chiefs John W Henry and Tom Werner are excited to be going to Wembley for the Carling Cup final.
Reds managing director Ian Ayre admits the American duo are relishing the prospect of the club's first showpiece final since their £300million takeover in October 2010.
"They know what being back at Wembley means to everyone associated with the club.
"It's going to be very special and they are looking forward to being a part of that.
"This is a club built on such fantastic history and we had such great success at the old stadium. Now we want to write some history at the new Wembley.
"I've really felt a buzz around the city this week. Just walking around Liverpool I've had so many people stop me to tell me how much they are looking forward to getting back to Wembley. It's nice to see everyone with a smile on their face and a spring in their step.""John and Tom will arrive on Sunday and they are very excited about it," Ayre told the Liverpool Echo.
