Liverpool captain Virgil Van Dijk appears to have fallen back into his old habits on international duty.
The Netherlands star broke his promise to control his temper when dealing with referees.
Van Dijk was again in the spotlight during a game against Ireland in a Euro 2024 qualifier on Sunday.
The centre back gave away a penalty and was furious at the referee in response to his decision.
Van Dijk was sent off for Liverpool against Newcastle United in the Premier League, receiving a further one match ban for a rant at the referee on that occasion as well.
The Netherlands star will have to control his temper in the coming months if he is to avoid his season going off the rails.
