Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is ready to collect his 50th cap with England.

Henderson is expected to start tonight against Montenegro.

He says: “I'll obviously be very proud to have played for my country that many times.

“I can remember there were a lot of experienced and top ­players in the team when I made my debut and I remember ­coming off thinking I had a long way to go if I wanted to stay at that level.

“It gave me a taste for it, to improve and get better, to make sure I could go back and perform regularly for England. That has always been my attitude. And it still is."
