Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was careful with his words today regarding Bobby Duncan's situation.
Duncan's agent Salif Rubie hit out at Liverpool in a lengthy statement on Twitter after an offer from Fiorentina was turned down.
Duncan initially endorsed the statement with a quote tweet before deleting it shortly afterwards. He also removed all reference of Liverpool from his social media profiles and changed the photo to an all-black image, although he has since restored photos of him appearing for the Reds.
Klopp said, "What I can say is Bobby is one of young players that we really care about. That's all I can say. I know that we are like this as a club.
“In football, sometimes contract things can be a problem. That's a normal situation in all age groups.
“But with young players we are especially sensitive. We have to do the right things, all the different parties.
“Of course [I have spoken to Duncan]. He had the pre-season with us but that is it."
