Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has defended Ryan Gravenberch after he turned down Holland U21 selection.
Gravenberch stated at the time he wanted the chance to settle in at Liverpool after signing on deadline day from Bayern Munich.
Klopp said, "We will see about him. He had training sessions here and got everything sorted; we have games every three days now so he has organised everything and that is a benefit.
"I understand the Dutch FA was not happy, but the boy wants to play football all the time.
"He used that break to fix a lot of things we usually do in a proper rush."
On his squad, he added: "I'm happy. I was with the midfield we had over the years. They were super characters, grew fantastically into different roles from younger players. It was a big task to replace them but I'm happy with what we've got."
