Liverpool are struggling to find a club willing to pay what they did for Christian Benteke last summer.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the Belgian striker could still remain at Anfield if the Reds do not receive an offer of £32.5million - the fee they paid Aston Villa just under a year ago.
Crystal Palace and West Ham United have been heavily linked with Benteke in recent weeks with some reports even suggesting that the Eagles were set to splash £30m on the 25-year-old.
Both Palace and West Ham are baulking at the transfer fee, as well as Benteke's £120,000-per-week wages, which is making a summer transfer difficult.
However, it is understood that Benteke is willing to stay on Merseyside and fight for his spot in Jurgen Klopp's first team despite a substandard debut campaign with the club.
