Liverpool are set to launch a multi-club network.
The Liverpool Echo says the club's owners, FSG, were able to convince former sporting director Michael Edwards to return with plans of setting up a multi-club network.
Edwards has been named Liverpool's new football chief executive, with his brief to include building FSG's multi-club model.
The 44 year-old will be tasked with identifying and bringing in a new club into the network.
It's suggested Edwards is attracted by the prospect of building and expanding FSG's network.
