Lindegaard pondering Man Utd departure

The agent of Anders Lindegaard says his client is considering leaving Manchester United.

The 30-year old Danish goalkeeper has been with the Red Devils since 2010 but has managed just 29 first team appearances which has prompted his thoughts of an Old Trafford exit according to his representative Michael Stensgaard.

"Anders would consider staying in England, but he is actually open to other opportunities too," Stensgaard told Danish news agency Ritzau.

"The important thing is the package is right considering the family, the sport ambitions and of course the finances."

Some reports have suggested that Lindegaard's contract with United had come to an end but Stensgaard was quick to dismiss those claims.

"There is no truth at all in the speculation that his contract has been terminated," he added.

Lindegaard, who arrived from Aalesund in November 2010, has been back-up to David de Gea in the past few seasons and it is believed that youngster Ben Amos has now gone past him in the pecking order.
