West Bromwich Albion signing Joleon Lescott hopes to be joined at the Hawthorns by a former Manchester City teammate.
The Express & Star says Lescott has reportedly urged the club to make a swoop for City defender Micah Richards.
Richards is ready to leave City this summer after rejecting new contract talks at City.
The England international is being linked with Newcastle United and Arsenal.
