Pietro Leonardi has resigned as Parma football director.

Leonardi has seen three owners come and go at the crisis club - Tommaso Ghirardi, Rezart Taci and Giampietro Manenti.

"I decided to resign as director general of Parma FC Spa. My health, which has worsened recently, and the current situation that has unfortunately been created around me, no longer allow me to perform my work.

"I do not want to be a burden to the current club owners. I thank my collaborators, all club employees, the coaching staff, the players and the fans, to whom I feel and will always feel profoundly bonded."
