Lennon, Defoe, van der Vaart in doubt as Tottenham prepare for Liverpool

Tottenham trio Aaron Lennon, Jermain Defoe and Rafael van der Vaart are all doubts for Monday's clash with Liverpool.

Third-placed Spurs are away to the sixth-placed Reds but could be without the attacking threesome who are all nursing injuries.

Lennon and Defoe both injured hamstrings in last Friday's FA Cup fourth round win over Watford, forcing them out of Tuesday's victory over Wigan Athletic, whilst van der Vaart suffered a calf problem in that match.

Spurs assistant Kevin Bond is unsure about the aforementioned three but said that right-back Kyle Walker, also injured against Wigan, will be fine.

"Aaron and Jermain are being treated, both are extremely doubtful for Monday but obviously we'll give them every chance," Bond told the club's official website.

"The medical staff are working hard to see if they can get them there.

"Rafa went off with a calf strain and it's a bit early to say what his prospects are for Monday. Kyle Walker should be fine."
