Leicester City star Jamie Vardy has pleaded with the Football Association for a personal hearing despite accepting their charge of improper conduct.
The 29-year-old striker was charged by the FA for his outburst against referee Jon Moss following his red card in the draw against West Ham United on Sunday.
Vardy is set to miss the Foxes' next game against Swansea City this weekend, but he will now plead his case to an independent three-man commission in order to escape a further ban.
The Foxes currently lead second-placed Tottenham by five points and Vardy's absence during the final run-in could seriously dent their title hopes.
