Leicester star Vardy hopeful of completing path from non-league to the World Cup

Leicester City attacker Jamie Vardy looking to do all he can in order to earn a place in the England national team for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Vardy is looking to continue his remarkable ascent from non-league football to the World Cup by featuring for the England national team in Russia next year and the attacker has stated that he is doing his best for Leicester City in order to ensure a place in the Three Lions' squad for the showpiece event.

"It's massive," Vardy said of the prospect of going to Russia. "I know first and foremost I've got to be doing well for my club to be within a chance of being selected.

"I've got to put in all my effort for Leicester when I am not on international breaks and hopefully my performances will warrant that place. I think (my form this season) started off all right and kind of slowed a bit, but all-in-all I think it has gone OK."
