Leicester midfielder Maddison happy to focus on U21 Euros than Nations League

Leicester City midfielder James Maddison is happy to be with England's squad for the U21 Euros.

Some were surprised Maddison was not called up to the senior squad by Gareth Southgate for the Nations League, but the player himself believes the U21 tournament will be beneficial for his development.

"This tournament is going to be better experience for me than what sitting on the bench at the Nations League would have been, I have been asked that a few times and I will never look at it and think should I be with the seniors," he added.

"I am never going to be disappointed representing the U21s with my country, I am excited and proud that I'm here."
