Leicester City are launching a bid for AS Monaco midfielder Youri Tielemans.

The Daily Mail says reports suggest the 21-year-old has attracted the interest of Claude Puel after his career has stalled somewhat at the Ligue 1 side.

City are considering a bid of over £20 million to bring the young star to the King Power Stadium.

And that news will delight Foxes fans, with the club yet to make a signing in the January transfer window.

Tielemans has made 28 appearances for Monaco this season, scoring five goals from midfield – but his time in France has not been considered an unqualified success.
