Leicester City is eyeing Celta Vigo fullback Jonny.

Foxes boss Claude Puel is eager to land a fullback signing in January after Danny Simpson's hamstring injury.

The Sun says Daniel Amartey was sent off when he covered for Simpson against Manchester United last weekend – prompting Puel to go into the market.

Puel is a long-term admirer of Jonny, 23, who has spent his entire career with Spanish side Celta.

Spanish youth international Jonny has blossomed at the Estadio Municipal de Balaidos since graduating from their academy.

He is closing in on 200 appearances for the club, and has started 16 out of 17 games in the top-flight this season, picking up two man of the match awards.
