Leicester City are confident seeing off competition from Newcastle United for Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare.
L'Equipe says Newcastle made attempts to sign the youngster during the January transfer window, with the report claiming that the Magpies offered as much as €40m for the player in the past.
However, Soumare was said to be keen to see out the season with the Ligue 1 leaders, leading to Newcastle showing an interest in City midfielder Hamza Choudhury ahead of the January deadline.
That also allowed Leicester to steal a march on their rivals ahead of the summer window.
And it is reported that the King Power Stadium is now likely to be the player's next destination.
