Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa is in new contract talks.
Via Fussball Transfers, La Nacion in Argentina reports Leeds and Bielsa have been in negotiations for some weeks and both parties are close to reaching agreement.
The veteran manager's current deal is due to expire at the end of June this year.
The Argentine has been with Leeds since 2018 and just Saturday oversaw victory against Premier League leaders Manchester City, despite having defender Liam Cooper sent off.
And in his homeland, it's reported Bielsa is now ready to sign a new agreement,
The deal is likely to be for another 12 month contract, which he favours from season-to-season. Should he re-sign with Leeds, it will represent the longest time Bielsa has been with a club in Europe. He spent two years with Athletic Bilbao, while his other jobs in Europe never reached two seasons long.
This season, his first in the Premier League, Bielsa has Leeds well placed sitting in tenth position on the table.
