Le Tissier: Man City should replace Toure if they can sign Pogba from Juventus

Manchester City could benefit from offloading Yaya Toure this summer but only if they can attract a quality replacement.

That is the sentiment of Sky Sports pundit and former Southampton star Matt Le Tissier who suggests City may look at allowing Toure to leave the Etihad Stadium if they can lure somebody of the stature of Paul Pogba from Juventus.

"City will be looking at their homegrown player quota if they decide to cash in on Toure, which probably wouldn't be a bad thing, but there's not too many English midfielders that would strengthen them," Le Tissier told Sky.

"Jordan Henderson and Michael Carrick are probably the best two in that position but wouldn't move, while Fabian Delph wouldn't really improve them.

"They might be able to prize Paul Pogba away from Juventus with a big enough offer but they need to be wary of their homegrown quota, which will be helped once they start reaping the rewards of the improvements to their academy."
