Lazio striker Miroslav Klose is winning praise for admitting he scored with a handball against Napoli.
Napoli boss Walter Mazzarri said the player did so "because he knew he'd be caught on camera", but FIFA President Sepp Blatter and several of Klose's Serie A contemporaries have been less grudging with their praise.
"Bravo Miro Klose," Blatter said on Twitter. "With your gesture you have shown yourself to be a champion and a proper player."
Inter midfielder Esteban Cambiasso also commented on the incident.
"We should praise the honesty of Klose," he told Mediaset Premium. "We must honour this gesture. It is an example for all children to follow."
"Very nice gesture by Miroslav Klose!" exclaimed Fiorentina defender Facundo Roncaglia.
