Lazio president Lotito confirms SMS wants Al-Hilal move: He deserves it for his commitment

Lazio president Claudio Lotito has announced they've received a massive offer from Saudi Arabia for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

The Serbia international has been linked with Europe's biggest clubs, but his future could now be set for Saudi Arabia and Al-Hilal.

"They told me that the offer exists, that it is very important for the player, although less so for us," Lotito began. "Milinkovic has asked me to leave since he has been at Lazio for 8 years. It is not a problem of relationship with the club, but of his head. It's not a matter of money either, he wants a change of scenery.

"I don't want to give him up, but if he wants to leave I won't keep him.

"We will strengthen ourselves. Why is he leaving? I don't know if it's a problem of not having incentives. Because if you want to go to Arabia it's only for money. But you have to ask him.

"I tried to keep him until the last moment, but when someone asks me to leave for a personal matter... What can I do? We were willing to renew his contract and increase it. We have a good relationship, but in the end he decides what he wants to do with his life. He called me begging me to let him go.

"This offer has not yet arrived. When it does, we'll see. He could go. One less than 50 million euros, a little less. It is an act of faith that I am making towards the player for the commitment that he has shown up to now."
