Lazio hero Alen Boksic says he's enjoyed watching their campaign this season.

Boksic admits he keeps a close eye on Lazio results.

He told Il Messaggero: "If I still follow them? Of course, even if I'm far away, I always care, it seems to me the least for a club I'm very fond of. This second season with (Maurizio) Sarri is going well, too bad for the elimination from the Europa League, but fourth place is a lot of stuff seen as opponents such as Inter, Atalanta, Milan and Roma itself.

"Then there is a champion like Milinkovic. If I recommended something for the future? Absolutely not. I know there is a situation poised for the contract expiring in 2024, but I honestly didn't feel like influencing him. I think he and his entourage know best of all what the best choice will be. We are certainly talking about a footballer who has grown a lot and who is now among the best midfielders around.

"I'm not surprised at the interest of important teams, but in these cases it is better to think only of the field. For the future we will see."
