Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi hailed his "special" players after their 5-1 rout of Hellas Verona.

A Ciro Immobile hat-trick dominated the scoreline on Sunday.

“We saw the Lazio that we knew before, because we had options to come off the bench and rotate the squad, which we didn't have before," Inzaghi told Sky Sport Italia.

“We don't want to finish fourth, as the team deserves more for all they've achieved this season. We have records to beat, for Immobile, for Luis Alberto's assists, but they know that there's no way they could target these personal objectives without their teammates.

“The last four years have been so special, I don't want to just make it seem like this season was different. We won the Italian Super Cup, set a new record for points and qualified for the Champions League.

“These lads are special."
