Laudrup pleased regardless of Swansea loss to Man City

Michael Laudrup admitted it was a weird feeling to suggest his Swansea City side played well despite losing 3-0 to Manchester City on Sunday.

The Welsh club had a number of chances in the Etihad Stadium defeat, which came courtesy of an early goal from Alvaro Negredo and a second-half brace from Samir Nasri, and Laudrup felt it was a decent performance notwithstanding the negative outcome.

"It may be strange to stand here after losing 3-0 to Man City and say we did so many good things today," he said.

"I think the first half we played really great, we kept the ball and we did it in a very good way.

"In midfield we pressed forward and (Jonjo) Shelvey had two shots before (Jonathan) de Guzman missed a great chance for us.

"But we know when we play against players like this that some of them can just create a chance or a goal out of nothing and that's what we saw in the second half when Nasri scored the second and third goals."
