Barcelona president Joan Laporta has taken over negotiations for Sevilla fullback Daniel Alves.
El Mundo Deportivo says Laporta has made the capture of Alves a priority after this week welcoming Seydou Keita (Sevilla) and Gerard Pique (Manchester United).
Barca hope to settle on a deal with Sevilla of £22 million, having already had an £18 million offer thrown out by president Jose Maria del Nido.
