Joan Laporta has selected his sporting director for his run for the Barcelona presidency.
Former Barca president is running for the post under his 'Yes to the Future' project.
Marca says Laporta has already identified his sporting director - Mateu Alemany.
Alemany was a long time sporting director with Valencia before he was ousted last season as former coach Marcelino was sacked by president Peter Lim.
Alemany had three years in charge of VCF, putting together a team which twice qualified for the Champions League during his time at the Mestalla.
He was also previously general manager of Real Mallorca.
