Lamine Yamal breaks two records in Barcelona defeat of Cadiz

Lamine Yamal broke two records during Barcelona's win against Cadiz.

Yamal, at 16 years and 38 days, exceeds the previous record of Fabrice Olinga in September 2012 who, at 16 years and 112 days, became the youngest player to be a starter in the LaLiga throughout the 21st century.

But this is not the only record that Yamal took on Sunday. It should be noted that in previous matches, the teen had entered as a substitute, but this Sunday he premiered as a starter in the XI of coach Xavi.

Further, Yamal became the youngest rookie (as a starter) in the history of Barcelona in the LaLiga. The record was held in the 1940's by Vicenç Martínez Alama. The player, at that time, was 16 years and 280 days.
