LA Galaxy captain Robbie Keane insists he is not looking to retire from professional football anytime soon.
The 34-year old Republic of Ireland striker is preparing for the 2015 MLS season on the back of a sublimely successful 2014 campaign which saw him skipper the Galaxy to the MLS Cup along with landing the league MVP.
Currently back in his homeland on the Galaxy's pre-season tour, Keane told reporters that he has absolutely no retirement plans in the foreseeable future as he gets set to emulate a pair of former Manchester United stars.
"If I feel the way I feel now, of course I want to play as long as I can," said the ex-Tottenham and Liverpool attacker.
"I look at people like Teddy Sheringham and Ryan Giggs, who both played for a long time. As long as I look after myself and keep myself fit.
"For me it's just about the hunger to want to play and the drive to do well, score goals and compete at the highest level. That more than anything motivates me."
