Real Madrid legend Marcelo made just 10 appearances for Olympiacos before he terminated his contract with the Greeks.

LA Galaxy of the MLS are said to now be keen on signing him.

According to journalist Gustavo Guimaraes, the defender is in negotiations with LA Galaxy, who are looking to strengthen their squad to win a title for the first time since 2014.

The rumour is tied to the departure of Julian Araujo, who joined Barcelona B but with the plan that he will be promoted to the first team. The former Real Madrid player could line up alongside Chicharito, captain and leader of the squad.

LA Galaxy will make their MLS 2023 debut on Saturday 25 February when they take on Carlos Vela's LAFC at Rose Bowl Stadium.
