Krylia Sovetov attacker Sergei Pinyaev has played down a future with Manchester United.

The Russian teen has had annual training stints at United since he was 14 years of age.

Pinyaev told Sport-Express: "I followed Manchester United, as well as for Manchester City, Barcelona, Real Madrid. In general, no more than for the rest of the teams."

Asked if he saw Cristiano Ronaldo's controversial interview against United, Pinyaev added: "I saw in the news, yes.

"But I'm not the same scale as commenting on the relationship of Man United and Cristiano. No one except the player and the club is aware of the situation. They already figured out everything — so it was necessary to do so.

"He probably knew what he was doing."
