Koscielny has had enough of Arsenal's Champions League shortcomings

Laurent Koscielny has urged future Arsenal sides to perform over two legs of the Champions League.

The Gunners responded brilliantly to their 3-1 Round of 16 first leg loss to Monaco by defeating the French side 2-0 at the Stade Louis II on Tuesday night but their fine performance away from home ended in disappointment.

Arsenal, for the fifth year in a row, were eliminated at the initial knockout phase of Europe's top club competition and French centre-back Koscielny admits it is not good enough.

"We say same thing every year," he said.

"Our first game is catastrophic. We have to put it right and play well in two games."
