Knee ligament damage for Arsenal's Walcott

Arsenal wing ace Theo Walcott is out for three weeks with knee ligament damage.

The Mirror says Walcott, 20, had a scan yesterday on the knee injury suffered against Birmingham on Saturday and it revealed medial damage.

It has left Walcott - who was making his first start of the season for Arsenal after a persistent back injury - down and deeply frustrated.

He could now miss England's friendly with Brazil in Qatar next month, a further setback to his World Cup hopes as he is battling for his place in Fabio Capello's squad for next summer.
