Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp admits Nottingham Forest's team selection worked in their favour on Sunday.
The Reds won 3-0 thanks to goals from Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez and Mohmaed Salah.
Klopp said: "It was a good game and that's what you need against an opponent that's ready to make your lives very difficult.
"I'm pretty sure Steve [Cooper] when he found out [Chris] Wood couldn't play I'm sure that was not a good moment.
"With a proper striker and two quick wingers that would've caused us problems."
On midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai, Klopp added: "The boy is a joy to watch with how much he loves to play and how mature he is on the pitch with two assists.
"You need players that understand the game and he definitely does."
