Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is facing plenty of push-back inside Anfield over his pursuit of Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara.

Thiago intends to leave Bayern this summer and favours a move to Liverpool - and for Klopp, the feeling is mutual.

However, Kicker says while the German is keen, there are many inside the club arguing against Thiago's signing.

At 29 and given his recent injury record, there's an argument that Thiago's signing is too big a gamble to take.

However, for his part, Klopp remains a big fan and believes the midfielder would add something different to his current options.
