Jurgen Klinsmann wants to takeover from Mauricio Pochettino should the Argentine leave Tottenham Hotspur.
The German became a Spurs legend during his two spells at the club in the 90s.
As a coach, he took Germany to the World Cup semi-finals in 2006 and the United States into the knockout rounds in 2014.
He has also managed Bayern Munich and now the Daily Mail says the 55-year-old would want the Spurs job if Pochettino departs.
The former PSG defender is under pressure after a lacklustre start to the season, with his most recent defeat coming at the hands of League Two club Colchester in the Carabao Cup.
