Chelsea are introducing a teenager into their senior setup in a nod to the future.

The Stamford Bridge club are bringing in £17 million wonderkid Kendry Paez into the first team.

The Ecuadorian will be a Chelsea player when he turns 18, given the deal they signed with Independiente Del Valle.

The issue for the Blues is that the Ecuadorian cannot play for them for another year and a half.

He is set to come into the UK in the next week to meet with staff and his new teammates.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino will also get to know Paez, even though he may not even be in charge by the time he is available to play.
