Keane delighted having Maccabi Tel Aviv top of table

Former Tottenham striker Robbie Keane admits he's enjoying his work with Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Keane has the Israeli giants well placed in the title race.

“Things have been going great here," Keane said in his column for Betway. “We're at the top of the league, in the last 16 of the Europa Conference League and we're in the Toto Cup final, so it couldn't be going any better. I'm really enjoying coaching and managing.

“The most enjoyable result to date was beating Gent away from home in the Conference League, considering the team that they are and the budget that they have. We had to win to finish top of the group, and to end up winning 3-1 was a credit to the players. We dominated the game and it was probably our best performance.

"I almost hate to say it, but our target is just to win the next game and maintain the form that we're in. I don't like to look too far ahead, because I've been around the game long enough to know that anything can change in football. We'll just take each game as it comes and keep the players' feet on the ground."
