Karlan Grant insists there was no hidden meaning behind giving his shirt to a fan after Huddersfield's 5-0 thrashing at Liverpool.

At the end of the game, all the Huddersfield Town players went over to the travelling supporters to applaud them for the fantastic atmosphere they created.

“Genuinely, the fans are outstanding, you know," said Grant to HTTV.

“Going over there and clapping them, I know it's tough for them because they come all this way to support us.

“At the end, I gave one of the supporters my shirt because I felt like I needed to. They've been brilliant."
