Inter Milan are threatening to rock Juventus with a bid for Claudio Marchisio. La Stampa says Inter president Massimo Moratti has been in contact with the midfielder's minders, well aware the Italy international is unhappy with his current contract.
Juve president Andrea Agnelli and GM Beppe Marotta know Marchisio is unsettled and are planning to discuss a pay-rise with the player once the current market closes.
Marchisio has stayed loyal to Juve, but his agents have been in contact with Moratti to sound out his interest and also made Juve's powerbrokers aware of their actions.
For now, the situation is at deadlock, but Moratti could rattle Juve with a serious offer - particularly if Agnelli fails to make any positive movement on new contract talks towards the end of this month.
