Juventus are stepping up their pursuit of Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko.Tuttosport says Juve GM Beppe Marotta has held a round of talks with City directors about Dzeko's situation.

The meeting was held in Stockholm yesterday as Europe's power players assembled for the ECA (European Club Association) General Assembly.

Juve's top striker target remains PSG ace Edinson Cavani, but Dzeko is also under consideration as a cheaper alternative.

The Bosnia international has also been linked with former club VfL Wolfsburg in recent days.
