Juventus GM Beppe Marotta has played down talk of Sebastian Giovinco moving to Toronto FC.

The midfielder comes off contract in June.

"We are not aware of these negotiations, either officially or off the record," insisted Marotta.

He added: "We are accustomed to putting together a squad during the summer. We are not in any emergency situation, so there's no need to sign anyone in January."
